A Garda investigation has been launched into a case of deception in Ennis, where an elderly man was allegedly coerced into buying tools.
The incident took place at around 4pm on Saturday and involved three men in a white van approaching a man in his 70s on the Quin Road.

It’s understood the man was asked if he wanted to purchase tools and generators and did so under duress.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or footage that may help the investigation to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848 100.
