The Minister for Integration and Equality says the possibility of specific supports for communities in Clare to accommodate Ukrainian refugees is being kept under review.
Roderic O’Gorman will spend his second day in this county today, where he will visit refugees in Lisdoonvarna after meeting with senior Clare County Council officials yesterday evening.
Around 2,000 people from the war-torn state are estimated to be living in Clare at present, with the local authority warning of ‘significant challenges ahead’ as that number continues to grow.
