It's emerged that the installation of a new revolving door at the entrance to Áras Contae an Chlair in Ennis will cost Clare County Council over 100,000 euro.

The figure was confirmed at this week's council meeting by the Senior Executive Officer of Corporate Services.
The Council insists it was necessary to install the doors to address draughts in parts of the building, which have worsened due to the increased footfall, since motor tax services were relocated there a number of years ago.
Lissycasey Fianna Fail Councillor PJ Kelly says it seems a very high price to pay.
