The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says staff shortages at a care home in Mayo are replicated in facilities and hospitals all over the country.

The HSE says it's engaged in hiring more staff at Aras Attracta in Swinford, Co. Mayo and it is hopeful that a resolution can be found without affecting residents.
Yesterday, the Health Information and Quality Authority proposed cancelling registration for part of the facility, which caters for people with challenging behaviour.
