INMO Urges HSE To Advise Public On Hosptial Delays As UHL Trolley Numbers Climb To 106

The number of patients waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital has breached 100 once again.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 106 admitted patients waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 47 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 43 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.

Overall there were 665 patients on trolleys at hospitals across the country, prompting the INMO to request that the HSE “very clearly” advises the public of long delays to be seen in emergency departments across all hospital sites”.
