The Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation’s Midwest representative is calling for booster Covid vaccines to begin being rolled out as quickly as possible.
It follows the decision to extend vaccine boosters to healthcare workers following advice from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee.
Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly says the vaccinations will begin to be rolled out at the weekend, with nearly 3,500 staff out of work due to Covid related illnesses.
