The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called for the Emergency Department Taskforce to meet urgently to discuss how the HSE plans to tackle the persistent overcrowding problem in Irish hospitals.
It comes as as over 526 patients, including 7 children, have been admitted to hospital without a bed today.

University Hospital Limerick remains by far the busiest in the country, where there were 115 people waiting for beds during morning rounds.
It’s the third highest figure ever recorded at any hospital in the country and is more than double the next busiest facility today.
