A new initiative is being rolled that will aim to enhance the presence of the Cúpla Focail in Ennis businesses.
The Inis Dom programme will encourage the practical use of Gaeilge in shops, bars, restaurants and cafés throughout the town.

One key feature will see participating staff wearing an ‘Inis Dom’ badge and from there customers will be free to strike up a conversation as Gaeilge.
Clare County Council Irish Officer Ruairí Henchy believes it will boost the use of the language and provide a unique selling point for businesses.
