The incoming Chair of the West Clare municipal district says a lack of wastewater infrastructure in the town is leaving people wanting to become part of the community ‘in limbo’.
Ennistymon postmaster Shane Talty was elected to the role for the next 12 months last evening, replacing outgoing Chair and fellow Fianna Fail Councillor Cillian Murphy.
It’s understood a number of houses in Lahinch were recently denied planning permission due to inadequate sewage facilities in the area.
