Update On Cooraclare & Broadford Wastewater Infrastructure Due Within Weeks

An update on the progress of efforts to secure funding aimed at upgrading wastewater treatment facilities in two Clare villages is expected in the coming weeks.

Cooraclare and Broadford are currently being assessed under a €50 million scheme for essential sewage infrastructure for rural villages.

Applications for the two Clare projects were submitted in September 2022, with Housing Minister Daragh O’Brien confirming to Clare TD Cathal Crowe that a decision would be made in the next 6 to 8 weeks.
