Seanad Hears Calls For Irish Water Urged To Produce Wastewater Plan For Kilkee

Irish Water is being urged to put forward a plan to upgrade Kilkee’s wastewater infrastructure.

It comes as Clare County Council is expecting results on water samples taken in the area to become available this morning, following what’s been described as a ‘malfunction’ of its sewage infrastructure over the weekend.

A prohibition to swim notice could be lifted today depending on the analysis of the results and advice from the HSE.
