A former Clare Mayor says he’s ‘extremely disappointed’ at the latest setback for the Northern Distributor Road project.
The works have not been included in the final Limerick Shannon Metropolitan Area Strategy, published by the National Transport Authority.
It’s believed the works have not progressed due to a ‘ministerial order’ from Transport Minister Eamon Ryan, even though €19 million has already been spent in the first phase of the project.
