Ennis Mayor Insists Infrastructure Will Be In Place To Cater For €1.2 Billion Data Centre Development

The Mayor of Ennis insists infrastructure in the town will be developed at the pace needed to keep up with the speed of the town’s development.

It comes after plans were lodged for a new €1.2 billion data centre campus on the Tulla Road, with 1,200 jobs to be created in the construction phase and additional 250 jobs in the centre once its in operation.

It’s envisaged construction of the facility will get underway late next year if given the green light, with the work set to be phased over a six year period.

Mayor of the Ennis Municipal District and Independent Councillor Ann Norton believes sufficient housing and transport facilities will be in place for the town if the project gets the go ahead.
