A €1.5 million upgrade to water mains serving the large parts of South East Clare are getting underway today.
The current system in the Parteen and Wesbury areas is to be replaced with state-of-the-art iron pipes, with homeowners there having struggled with leaks and outages for a number of years.
The works are to be carried out at night time and are due to be completed before Easter.
