Call For Widespread Roll Out Of E-Car Charging Points In Clare

It’s claimed the roll out of essential infrastructure for electric cars in Clare will be crucial in the coming years.

Clare County Council is being called on to co-ordinate with the ESB to increase the number of e-cars charge points throughout the county, with the announcement that all petrol and diesel cars to be banned on Irish roads by 2030.

The local authority says capital investment is to be provided by the government to councils to allow up to 200 charging points be installed per year but that they are waiting on details to be finalised before coordinating with the ESB.
