Call For Roadworks In Kilkee To Progress Quickly

It’s hoped a number of roadworks in Kilkee will be progressed urgently, to fulfill the objectives of the ten-year strategy to improve the town.

‘Towards a Better Kilkee’ was adopted in 2014 and though there are four years left in the plan, local Fine Gael councillor Gabriel Keating wants essential roadworks to be progressed quickly.

Resurfacing works at Circular Road, Well Road and Merton Square are all his focus, along with the provision of a roundabout on Circular Road at Minister’s Cross.

However, Transport Infrastructure Ireland is responsible for national roads and hasn’t identified funding for a roundabout – but Cllr Keating is still hopeful it will be kept on the radar.
