Increased COVID Restrictions See More Than 1,100 People In Clare Sign On For PUP

More than 1,100 people in Clare have begun claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment since Christmas.

Over 7,000 people received the government support in this county today, the highest number in a month.

However, it’s less than half the record high of 14,600 people who were on the PUP back in May.

Nationally, almost 58,000 people have begun receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment since Christmas Day.
