There are increasing calls for the Government to provide supports to Shannon that are called for by the Aviation Recovery Taskforce.
The report, published in July, called for a stimulus package for the airports in the regions – including Shannon.

1.6 million passengers passed through Shannon in 2019 – in July, fewer than 15,000 passengers were handled by the Airport.
Speaking to Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Pat Keogh, whose chauffeur service is based at the airport, says they need to see light at the end of the tunnel.
