Clare Gardaí say there has been a significant increase in the number of people caught driving under the influence of drugs.
It’s just one of a number of offences being monitored over the course of this Bank Holiday weekend – Gardaí will also be looking out for drink driving, failing to wear your seat belt or using your phone behind the wheel.

Last year, new breathalyzers were introduced allowing Gardaí to test for a range of illicit drugs at roadside checks.
Inspector John Ryan of the Clare Garda Traffic Corps says its worrying that more people are driving with drugs in their system.
