It’s claimed the Government’s strategy of cuts is making those on lower incomes poorer while high earners become richer.

A report compiled by Social Justice Ireland, using CSO figures, shows the incomes of the poorest fell by 18 per cent in the last year, while incomes of the richest households rose by 4 per cent.
Dr. Sean Healy, Director of Social Justice Ireland, says the current strategy of cuts being pursued by the government is to blame.
