The collaboration and cooperation between community groups is said to have been the key to a West Clare village’s success in a national competition.
Inagh, which boasts a modest population of 192, has been named Ireland’s Greenest Village for 2025.

A number of projects have been cited by judges as having contributed to their verdict including the planting of 30 nut trees, the planting of an orchard of eating apples, public transport improvements and a biodiversity river walk.
Inagh native Róisín Garvey says the outcome couldn’t have been reached without the participation of various local stakeholders.
