Two Clare people will be honoured for their “dedication to work” and “improvement of life in the community” at a prestigious awards ceremony next week.
The Clare Association Dublin’s Annual Awards Dinner will take place on Saturday September 6th in the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon where former Shannon Airport Group CEO and incoming Iarnród Éireann Chief Executive Mary Considine, who’s from Lissycasey, will be named this year’s Clare Person of the Year.
Kilnamona native Professor Michael Kerin meanwhile, who’s Chair of Surgery at the University of Galway, Clinical Director of the Saolta Cancer Academic Network, and Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Chairperson of the Clare Association Dublin, Ciarán O’Connell, says he’s a “great advocate for the Banner county”.
