Gardaí are currently carrying out illegal hunting checkpoints across Clare.
The checks are being conducted in conjunction with the National Parks and Wildlife Service as part of Operation Lexi and have already been carried out at locations in Corofin and Liscannor this week.

It is illegal to hunt hares in Ireland without a licence from the NPWS.
Clare Gardaí are urging anyone who suspects any illegal hunting or related activity to report it to their nearest station.
