It’s claimed Shannon is in danger of once again being named the dirtiest town in Ireland if people don’t stop dumping illegally there.
Shannon Sinn Féin Councillor Mike McKee says it’s becoming an increasing problem, with people leaving large amounts of rubbish in secluded areas around the town.

In recent years, Shannon was named as the most littered town in the country.
