Calls for a "Living Wage" for Irish workers are being discussed at the Biennial Delegate Conference of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions which gets underway in Ennis today.

The three day event will be attended by over 700 delegates, who represent around 750 thousand workers north and south of the border.
The economy and low hour contracts will also be on the agenda, as well as public services and the TTIP trade deal.
