ICSA Fears Fodder Crisis Is Getting Worse With Each Passing Week

The Cratloe-based General Secretary of the ICSA insists the fodder crisis is getting worse with each passing week.

The organisation is meeting with Teagasc today to seek clarity on the Fodder Transport Scheme – which reimburses struggling farmers for the cost of transporting donated silage from other parts of the country.

It’s claimed many farmers have been left footing the transport bill themselves, because of strict rules around who is eligible.
