ICMSA Secretary Believes Older Age Profile Contributing To Increased Farming Accidents

A prominent Clare farmer believes a large percentage of agricultural accidents are being caused by the increasing age profile in the profession.

It comes as farmers here and across the country are being reminded to ensure they have adequate safety measures in place as silage season begins.

210 people passed away in Irish farm accidents between 2011 and 2020 according to the Health and Safety Authority.
