ICMSA Predicts Hardship For Farmers If Mart System Isn’t Changed

Clare’s ICMSA Chair believes there will be serious financial hardship in store for farmers if the current system for mart sales isn’t reviewed.

Under the current level five restrictions, marts can only operate online with specific times for farmers to come and drop off or view a purchase.

Farmers have called for the system under Level 3 to be returned, whereby 25 people could be in a mart at once.
