The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is hoping that 400 donors will attend clinics in Ennis over the coming days.
It comes as blood supplies have reached worrying low levels, with only 3 days worth of supply available, compared to the 7 days which the service aims to maintain.
Clinics are taking place in the West County Hotel today until 3pm and from Monday to Wednesday from 4.45pm to 8pm.
IBTS MidWest Area Manager, Grace O’Sullivan says Clare donors always show great support, but that the service needs an extra push at these vital clinics.
