The Irish Blood Transfusion service is calling on the people of Clare to make urgent life saving donations in Shannon today.
It comes as the group will be holding clinics at the Treacy’s Oakwood Arms Hotel between 4pm and 7pm where they will be particularly seeking stocks of type 0 Negative blood.

There are currently just 3.7 days of the stock available in the country , which is used to treat patients in emergency situations.
IBTS Recruitment Executive and Broadford native Alex O’Connor says all donations will provide help to those who need it most.
