IAG CEO Says Aer Lingus Is Committed To Shannon Airport

Willie Walsh has insisted that Aer Lingus remains committed to Shannon.

In an exclusive interview with Clare FM’s Morning Focus, the head of the IAG group has said the company has met and even exceeded the promises it made with regards to Aer Lingus when it controversially purchased the state’s remaining shares in the former flag carrier in 2015.

Asked about the airline’s plans for Shannon, Willie Walsh said their decision to introduce an early-morning Heathrow service has been supported by local businesses, while he was also bullish about their transatlantic services:
