The Chairperson of the Shannon Airport Authority says it’s critically important that the government enacts legislation to allow for it’s merger with Shannon Development.

This legislation is seen as crucial in developing the aviation cluster around Clare’s international airport and was due to pass through the Dáil before the summer recess.
However, this target was missed and in recent days Transport Minister Leo Varadkar again told TDs it will not be discussed until the autumn.
Rose Hynes says it’s important for the county that there are no further delays.
