Husband Of Late Caitríona Lucas To Climb Kilimanjaro In Her Hounour

The husband of the late Caitríona Lucas is set to scale Mount Kilimanjaro in her honour.

41-year-old Caitríona Lucas lost her life on September 12th 2016 when the boat she was onboard capsized in choppy conditions, making her the first Irish Coastguard volunteer to die during a search and recovery operation.

Bernard Lucas, along with Cormac Coyne of Inis Oir and Eoin Keane from Kilfenora will set out to climb 5,895 metres to the summit of the highest mountain in Africa, the third ‘Caitríona Lucas’ Challenge they’ve completed.
