It’s predicted that Ennis is to benefit to the tune of nearly half a million euro when a major conference is staged here this April.
Around 200 delegates are expected to attend the Irish Alumni Meeting of the Up With People Group.
It aims to bridge cultural gaps and to boost participation in international relations and education through a blend of music and social action.

Fáilte Ireland, which helped secure the event for Ennis, says they’re particularly pleased to see the event come to a regional location in Ennis, and estimate it will be worth €432,000 to the local economy.
