Newly released figures from the Department of the Environment has shown that 18,300 people here have registered their tanks, marking a compliance rate of over 92% – this is the third highest of any county in Ireland, and is considerably ahead of the national average.
The registration of tanks is to be followed by a series of inspections, with 50 of those to be held in Clare by next summer.
