The Irish Naval vessel the LE Eithne has located and rescued 367 migrants on a wooden barge, 50 kilometres north-west of the Libyian coast.

The barge was located at 7:25 this morning in choppy seas and all migrants were successfully taken on board by 10:10
There are now 278 men, 80 women and 9 children on board the vessel where they will receive medical screening, food and water.
