Hundreds Expected To Attend No Doctor No Village Meeting In Corofin This Evening

Up to 400 people are expected to attend the second public meeting of the No Doctor No Village campaign which is taking place in Corofin this evening.

GPs and members of the public are meeting confirm a clear timeline on the delivery of the committments by Clare TDs Deputies Pat Breen and Joe Carey made at a similar event in December.

The meeting which is being managed by the Clare GP Organising Committee will focus on rural general practise and what they've described as a national emergency in resourcing and manpower.

Ballyvaughan GP, Dr Liam Glynn says it's becoming increasingly difficult to attract doctors to set up a practice in rural Ireland.
