Over 550 people braved the elements on a route from Carrigaholt to Kilkee today, as part of a major fundraising event for local cancer support services.
Now in it’s 16th year, the West Clare Mini Marathon has raised nearly 2 million euro since it was first held, and the money has been used to support cancer patients in West Clare area.
Willie McGrath is chairman of the West Clare Mini Marathon Centre, he’s praised the walkers and runners who turned out today to show their support, despite the tough conditions.
