The HSE is urging people in Clare to avail of winter vaccines ahead of a predicted rise in infections as people socialise this Christmas.
Between December 4th and 10th, Public Health Mid-West was notified of 172 new COVID-19 cases; 42 new influenza cases and 92 new RSV cases.

These were the highest levels of flu and RSV recorded in a single week since the start of flu season to date, which usually runs between October and April.
Dr Marie Casey, Consultant in Public Health Medicine at Public Health Mid-West is urging over 65’s in particular to avail of the third Covid-19 booster vaccine if they haven’t already done so.
