The HSE is facing criticism for closing down its Warfarin Clinic in Kilrush.

The facility caters for people who need weekly checks with a specialised nurse across West Clare from Kilmihil to Loop Head.
However the HSE says this will be phased out in favour of newer medications – with patients who are not suitable candidates for this asked to attend a GP or the clinic in Ennis, which is unaffected.
