The HSE has said it will appeal the outcome of an Employment Appeals Tribunal ruling relating to hospital consultants pay.

Up to 2000 hospital consultants could be set to receive millions of euro in compensation over the HSE's failure to honour a contract agreed in 2008.
The doctors were to receive higher salaries in return for treating more public patients.
The test cases could lead to a total payout of around 100 million euro to consultants.
