The Head of the HSE insists the number of MidWest patients left waiting for treatment on trollies is falling.

HSE Director General Tony O’Brien visited primary care facilities in Limerick yesterday, less than two weeks after nurses at the region’s main Accident and Emergency Department insisted overcrowding there was it’s worst ever level.
However, despite acknowledging that there were issues a fortnight ago, Mr. O’Brien insisted progress is bring made.
He says changes to the MidWest’s health system, which have included the removal of Accident and Emergency care from Ennis General, are making a difference.
