The HSE insists there are currently no outbreaks of TB in the Mid West.

Health officials issued advice relating to TB after the disease was identified in a pupil at St. Flannan’s College in Ennis.

Now, the health service has moved to allay fears that the disease has spread, by saying there has been no outbreak and that people who have TB are usually no longer infectious after a couple of weeks of treatment and can then resume their usual activities.
