HSE MidWest Urges People Not To Stockpile Medications Amid Shortages

HSE MidWest Community Healthcare is urging people not to stockpile medication amid the current shortages being experienced in pharmacies.

Data from the Health Product Regulatory Authority (HPRA) shows that there are currently over 200 medicines in short supply across the country, ranging from over the counter cough syrups to penicillin-based antibiotics.

It comes as the MidWest is currently experiencing a surge in respiratory infections, with nearly 300 cases of RSV reported in the past month.
