The HSE has launched an investigaton after a patient attending the region's main hosptial fell from a first floor at the hospital this week.

The man is said to have walked out of the Emergency Department of University Hospital Limerick on Wednesday before making his way to a mezzanine area from where he fell to the ground floor.
He's believed to be in a serious condition.
In a statement to Clare FM, UL Hospitals Group says the hospital is aware of an incident in the Mezzanine area of the Outpatients Department and that is currenty under review.
