HSE Launches Catch-Up Campaign For HPV Vaccine

A young Ennis woman, who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer, has lent her support to efforts to increase take-up rates for the HPV vaccine.

In recent years, the uptake of the vaccine dropped sharply – health experts have blamed a campaign of misinformation.

But, the figure did increase to 62 per cent last year, and a catch-up vaccination programme is now being launched.
