The Health Service Executive is warning people not to swim in the water at Kilkee.
The ‘Do Not Swim’ bathing prohibition has been ordered due to a malfunction at the Irish Water waste water pumping station in Kilkee.

The swimming ban will remain in place for three days while the bathing water is tested.
Clare County Council is in consultation with the HSE on the matter.
