The HSE says it will continue to work with the Government to expedite works at St Joseph’s Hospital in Ennis.
The health service is to work with HIQA on improvements at the facility in Lifford after a first-of-its-kind legal case between the two state bodies was settled at Ennis District Court.
HIQA had served an order which would have effectively closed the county home to new admissions but that will now not occur.

The matter is due before the courts again in September.
