The HSE has confirmed that people in Clare are waiting up to 14 weeks for a decision on the Nursing Home Support Scheme.

It follows concerns raised about the delays on Clare FM by local councillors, who say people are being forced to pay thousands of euro or stay in hospitals while the HSE decides on applications.
54 Clare residents here have been approved for Fair Deal, according to the HSE which insists its 900 million euro spending plan is ahead of target.
However, the ALONE charity, which supports elderly people throughout Ireland, is the latest to criticise delays in the system.
