Two Social Housing Schemes Worth €6 Million To Progress In Clare

Work is progressing on two new social housing schemes in Clare worth a combined €6 million.

Clare County Council has confirmed that work behind the scenes is commencing on the two separate projects; one in Ennis and one in Scarriff.

The local authority has announced the appointment of consultants for the design phase of both of these social housing projects.

In Scarriff, a proposed 18-unit development worth €3.9 million is planned at Ballyminoge.

The scheme is being funded by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government and on-site work is set to commence in mid-2020, to be completed by the end of next year.

Once finished, it will comprise of a mix of two, three and four-bed homes.

It’s also been confirmed that a €2 million development at Roslevan in Ennis is to proceed.

This, again, is funded by the government and is made up of eight homes; which will be a mix of two and three bed properties.

The Ennis project is also due for completion by the end of next year.
